Orienteering can be unforgiving
Friday, 20 July 2007
I've not had a good run the past few days. In an orienteering sense. Stupid mistakes. In the middle distance WRE I was doing ok, a few too many errors, but everyone was having problems. But then I skipped #5. Doh! Our course is below.
Today I was quite determined to ride smoothly and not make mistakes. Which I pretty well did. Except I got to the end of the race in a little over 60 minutes. That was a bit short for a long distance race. So after checking I found I'd taken the women's course. At least I got all the check points. Tomorrow I'll try and do that, make no mistakes and take the right map! The course I should have done is below.
