Fillari Cup, Finland - Preliminary results
Sunday, 11 June 2006
Straight from the airport to the forest, Adrian Jackson and Alex Randall have raced at the Fillari Cup in western Finland. The cup is a World Ranking Event (WRE) and also the Finnish selection races for the World Champs and European Champs teams. News by SMS let us know that AJ came 8th yesterday and Alex 12th. This is clearly below their potential, but given they have just arrived in Europe is a good start. AJ made one error yesterday on what was not very detailed terrain but with bigger, wide route choices. A contrast to the training the team did last week in the detail at Bendigo and Maryborough.

AJ "channelling Sid"
| The terrain is very lumpy and bumpy off the main tracks with lots of
slippery roots. It takes a very high level of bike skills to keep
upright and moving fast. According to Alex ""Bring all your bike
handling skills. Channelling Sid Taberlay might help [you ride fast]".
Keep an eye on the event web site for full results.
